You Don't Need to Advertise Your Business Everyone Knows Who You Are!

Don't spend money advertising your business. Don't use Social Media to raise awareness about who you are and what you do. In fact sit in your office and just wait, you never know that magic wand might just work!

Obviously I am talking a whole lot of rubbish, and If I gave that advice to the small business owners I advise then I would be out of a job as they would have no business without any customers.

Use a Professional Email Address

Often you will come across a business that may have a domain name and website, but still use a Gmail, Yahoo, Rogers or Bell email address. There are many reasons why you should not use one of these addresses for business purposes or even personal use, as I will explain.

Brian Tracy on Goals 2014

I reently listened to Brian Tracy discuss goals and how to make 2014 your best year ever.

For me, there were some very simple, yet practical takeaways from his presentation.  Not least among them was his suggestion that we need to be clear about our goals but flexible about our process to achieve them.  I wonder how often our personal experience bias gets in our way and prevents us from being as flexible as we could be?

It was also interesting to think about the three major obstacles that prevent goal achievement, as presented by Brian.  He suggested that they are:
