KIVA - Connecting People Through Lending to Alleviate Poverty

In 2007 I stumbled across a website called "Kiva". Kiva gives you the chance to make small loans (microloans) to borrowers all over the world, who are working hard to start businesses and improve their lives. Due to my work that involves languages from all over the world and my genuine interest in people from all walks of life, this site peaked my interest!
