We are always looking a new ways to market our business, products & services. Using video is a great way to do that.
TELUS, the SBCN's corporate sponsors this year have put together some very funny videos which not only make you laught but also think about certain things, such as technology as an example.
Keeping the videos short and to the point is very important as people have little time to spare these days.

I am finding that the SMB's who take advantage of the networking opportunities out there, and who follow up consistently with the connections they meet at events are the ones who are building strong businesses and are successful. Utilizing the online resources, such as LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter is definitely a bonus, but unfortunately many of the SMB's are struggling to maintain a routine and not feel overwhelmed by the work involved.

The official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony has been performed. A special thank you to my family, Mayor Doug Craig and the Chamber of Commerce, Scott Bridger for attending our little soiree.
Plenty of food, friends and family is what makes every celebration a moment in time to remember. Despite the cold weather - brrr! the ribbon was cut outside of the entrance to the beautiful business building at 284 Water Street North.

I was very happy to read this article and wanted to share it here on the Small Business Community Network website because it offers some very sensible and straightforward tips on how to build a community around your business.
As you know I am a strong advocate of building communities in every sense of the word but in this case your business. I know I would not have survived building two successful business without building business connections, helping others and being active on social meda to build strong relationships.

I am running a marathon… or at least I think.. last few months now… is it will or hope? The question I often ask myself!
I am actually running a marathon in the arctic, barefoot and shirtless. When starting a new venture you analyze all and take risks… risks I took.
Small business is all about risk. Whether you quit your job to start a venture… or you build on it over time… to take the plunge, one thing is for certain… you made a choice and now you need to keep going!

Do you network and at that how much time do you spend networking. When people ask me about it, I tell them how much time I spend and they look at me like I’m crazy! Am I? Well no, I am not. My business is networking and as such I do it to the tee. I often coach clients on networking; teaching them the ins and outs of networking, tricks and tips, and so on.
I will be writing a full blog about networking, but in the mean time here are several events happening in KW.
